Tanz ES Dance School in Esslingen is a modern and vibrant dance school distinguished by its diverse offerings and warm community. With the motto “One Team - One Love - One Spirit”, TANZ ES represents a dance community where everyone feels welcome – from beginners to advanced dancers.
West Coast Swing: Versatile and expressive
A special highlight of the course programme is West Coast Swing. This modern partner dance is characterised by its exceptional musical versatility – whether Blues, Pop, R’n’B, Contemporary, Rock, Acoustic or current chart music, WCS can be danced to almost anything on the radio.
What makes West Coast Swing special: In no other partner dance does the follower (usually women) have so much freedom and can actively contribute to shaping the dance. Due to the diversity of music, WCS is characterised by improvisation and dance adaptation to the music – a creative and expressive dance that never gets boring.
Course offerings for all levels
TANZ ES offers West Coast Swing courses for different levels:
- Beginner (A1): The perfect entry for anyone who wants to learn West Coast Swing from scratch. You don’t need any previous experience or a fixed dance partner – just come along and dance with us!
- Level Up (A2, A3 & M): Advanced courses with new, more complex figures, techniques and styling elements
- Pop-Up Classes: Spontaneous, flexible courses that specifically address participants’ development and provide individual support
West Coast Swing classes take place on Tuesdays at 7:00 PM.

In addition to West Coast Swing, TANZ ES offers a wide range of dance styles:
- Partner Dance: Salsa (L.A. Style), Bachata (Moderna & Sensual), Brazilian Zouk
- Solo Dance: Various styles for individual dance enthusiasts
